Arnetha P. Thomas was the youngest of three children, Born to the late Ada and Roosevelt Platt, in Marion, South Carolina on October 27th 1931. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Mr. James M. Thomas and her sister and rother and one granddaughter Melody Josette Mathis. Our mother was raised by her late Aunt Lizzie Burns. (Freeman Burns) Our mother graduated from Marion H.S. and there she meet and married James M. Thomas (Her Sweetie) On October 1st 1954 and they nurtured three children; Elaine Perry, James M. Thomas Jr. (Rashad, Pearl) and Jennifer M. Thomas. Our Parents moved to NYC in 1956, until they departed this earth. Mom gave her Life to Christ at an early age. Mom Joined MT. Nebo Baptist Church under the leadership of the late William D Gardner. Mother served in the Kitchen Committee, Food and clothing drives. She also was on the MT. Nebo Educational and Scholarship Fund, North Carolina Club and Mother's Board. She held the position of Vice President of the Nurses Unit on multiple occasions. She was appointed Mother of Mt Nebo. ....Her Favorite Quote: Help Lord !! Scriptu res: Psalm:121 and Psalm: 23 "Moma Neat" worked in the Garment district as a engraver. She then pursued Higher Education and received a Certificate to work for NYC Educational System. Arneth worked at P.S. 101 located in East Harlem durning her tenure as a Para Professional. from1989 till 2009 when she retired. Mom's favorite sport was wrestling. And new missed a match on Friday night For years she shopped EVERY Saturday, just to pass her time. Mother loved to FINDA-WORD and talk to her buddies. Mom leaves to cherish her loving children Elaine James and Jennifer. Her Grandkids Rhoderick, T. Tyson, Mia Jonae, Jihuan, Jamal, Yazzi and Georgie. Eight Great-Grand Daughters, Two Great-Grand Sons and three God Daughters. Mrs. Fannie Chanie, Mrs. Janie Ford and Mrs. Bobbie Talbert. " MomaNeat" loved her In-Laws; brother-in-law, Johnnie Elliott( Essie) and a cousin-in-law, Katie Miles.
