Mrs. Elizabeth L. Drummond Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Born Elizabeth Louise Brown, September 5, 1926 to Mary Amos and Henry Brown in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Elizabeth departed this earth to be with her Savior on July 3, 2022. Elizabeth was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas and attended school there. She entered Cosmetology School and upon completion, began working. She married Julius Drummond, Jr. and to this union were born two sons, Ronald and Richard and one daughter, Nanette. They moved to Fayetteville NC where she worked Cosmetology then began to work for Fred Johnson’s Grocery Store on Old Wilmington Road through the move to Langdon Street. She worked in Food Service at Fort Bragg and Group Homes with Mrs. Lattimore. She then decided to go to school and became a private duty sitter until she was no longer able to work. Elizabeth accepted Christ at an early age. She has been a member of Parks Chapel now Kingdom Impact Global Ministries for almost sixty years. She was a member of the choir and prayer groups for many years. She loved gardening, cooking and fishing. Up until the end, she remained active by attending a Senior Activity Program five days a week. She could be seen doing her step on video two days before her departure. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mary Amos and Henry Brown; her sisters—Georgia Whitted and Shirley Brown; her brothers—M.L. Winston and Otto Amos. Left to cherish her memories are her sons Ronald Drummond (Creta), Reginald Drummond; and a daughter, Nanette Clarke, all of Fayetteville NC; Grandchildren—Anthony Drummond of Raleigh NC, Gregory Drummond of Florida; T’Errance and Tamecka Avery of Fayetteville NC and Floyd Clarke (Laura) of Virginia Beach VA; eight great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Jimmy Whitted of Fayetteville NC; nieces— Debra Stewart of Fayetteville NC, Sandra Pugh of Virginia; and a host of other relatives and friends.
