Franklin Eugene Wideman Franklin “Frankie” Eugene Wideman was born in Fayetteville, NC at Cape Fear Valley Hospital on October 6th 1971. Growing up Franklin was always full of life and could brighten up a room with just his smile. Franklin attended Pine Forest High School, where he took on many interests, including JROTC. He had a strong interest in sports such as baseball, basketball and football, even teaching himself gymnastics, teaching others in his spare time. Franklin’s family values were very important to him, often making his rounds of calling his family to ensure that were ok or just to see if they needed assistance with anything. Although he was a roofer by trade, Franklin was talented in many different areas, to include being an excellent cook. He created many masterpieces and even contemplated on attended a culinary art school to pursue his passion of cooking. Franklin worked extremely hard as a roofer, receiving countless recommendations for his outstanding work. He was best known for his keen eyesight for attention to details and always maintaining a high level of integrity in his work. He was always the first on the jobsite and the last to leave, wanting to ensure the job was done correctly. Franklin is survived by his mother, Onethia Wideman (McCray), son, Justin Turbeville (girlfriend: Kenya), daughter, Taylor Reeves, grandmother Mary Francis Wideman, sister, Yolanda R. Wideman, granddaughter, Ayla Turbeville, nephew, Tyree D. Wideman, nieces, Tylah and Tyra Wideman, 1 uncle, 7 aunts, and countless cousins. Franklin is preceded in death by his father, Calvin D. Wideman, paternal grandfather, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother. Franklin was a doting father not only to his two children Justin and Taylor, but also to his adorable granddaughter Aylah. He would have many conversations of how proud he was of them and their many accomplishments. Justin currently lives in Greensboro NC, while completing his bachelor’s degree with North Carolina A&T, and Taylor, currently residing in Fayetteville, NC while completing her bachelor’s degree with California Intercontinental University. We have enjoyed the time that God has allowed us to share with Franklin. Know that he will always be loved and truly missed. Although the pain of his loss is only momentarily, his memories with live on forever. God has called one of Soldiers home but know that he still looking down from heaven being ever so watchful over his family
