October 20, 1945 - November 15, 2021
Moses Perkins Robinson was born 76 years ago on October 20, 1945 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Andrew and Augusta Robinson. Moses peacefully departed his earthly life on November 15, 2021. Moses was educated in the Cumberland County school system and graduated from Armstrong High School and immediately joined the US Army. He completed course studies in criminal justice at The American University in Washington, DC. He received numerous certificates in government and civilian service. He worked for the DC Government as a law enforcement officer for several years and retired as a lieutenant. He served the District of Columbia National Guard for many years and retired as Master Sergeant (E8). He was raised to the 3rd degree in 1984 in James H. Hill Lodge #16 F.& A. M, P.H.A. in the District of Columbia. He was a proud member of the Kenly American Legion Post 328. In addition, he served as a councilman for the town of Kenly for four years. Undoubtedly, nearest and dearest to his heart was the initial beginning of Delightful Temple Ministries where he served as a founding member under the great leadership of Pastor Joe McDougald. Moses was serving in a distinctive leadership position. Moses met Carolynn Virginia Richardson Robinson and the two were joined in Holy Matrimony on July 21, 1968. To that union, they were blessed with three children. Eric Robinson (deceased), Moses Robinson II wife Terica, and Patrick Robinson/Krystle. Sisters are Elva Colvin, Carolyn Parker, Ursula Robinson-Russell. Deceased brothers are Andrew, Albert and Dennis. He is blessed with a tribe of grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and spiritual children. Moses was a pillar to his family. Affectionately known as “unc,”and gave his family perfect love. Moses was a highly decorated soldier of the Lord, as well as a soldier of the US Army. He was a great, mighty, and monumental man of God. Characterized by most to be a carbon copy of Moses in the bible--- a meek, humble man of God, (Numbers 12:3). My husband of 53 years was a submitted man with an impeccable and outstanding character who tried to live justly in all that he set out to do. This man who was very few with words was filled with wisdom and knowledge of how to live peaceably/honestly and yet be great. He was very knowledgeable and always encouraged young men to live a life of honesty, decency and integrity in order to obtain a happy life. He lived a successful and prosperous life. He always spoke God’s promises and allowed his talk to match his walk by living a life of selfless service.
