The family has requested that visits be made during the following times: ~Friday, June 19th, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM during the visitation at the funeral home. ~Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the church prior to the service. The family greatly appreciates your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Annie Marie "Annie Moe" Cogdell Cochran was born on May 20, 1948, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Alice Cogdell. Annie lived a life defined by faith, family, education, and service. A devoted member of Falling Run Missionary Baptist Church, Annie relied on her faith as a source of strength and guidance throughout her life. Her compassionate spirit, warm smile, and caring heart made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Annie was educated in the Cumberland County School System and continued her studies at Fayetteville State University, where she earned a degree in Biology. She dedicated her life to teaching middle school science, inspiring generations of students through her patience, knowledge, and commitment to learning. After many years of faithful service, she retired from education, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. Annie departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Roy Cogdell of Fayetteville, NC, and Jalamair and Janelle Cochran of Fayetteville, NC; her grandchildren, Jamal Cogdell and Jazmin Evans; her siblings, James E. Cogdell (Ann) of Fayetteville, NC, Naomi McCleod Melvin (David) of Fayetteville, NC, Christine Brazel of Federal Way, WA, and Ray A. Cogdell (Deborah) of Fayetteville, NC; her beloved paternal aunt, Mable C. Smith; her bonus sister, Elizabeth Cogdell; her aunt, Gladys Cogdell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Annie will be remembered for her wisdom, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the importance of caring for others. Though she is no longer with us physically, her legacy of faith, love, and service will continue through the countless lives she touched as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, teacher, church member, and friend. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
