God's Apostle Bishop Harry Lee Sr.

I Timothy 4:7-8 God’s Apostle Bishop Harry Lee, Sr. was born on December 13, 1949, in Pembroke NC to Eva Mae Lee Jacobs. On the morning of April 25th, 2024 @ 9:25am, God called Apostle Harry Lee, Sr. home to Heaven at Duke University Hospital Durham, NC. He is survived by two of his three children, Harry Lee, Jr, son, (53) & Dr. Nancy C. Lee, daughter (49). Elder Virginia Ruth Lee, wife of 50+years passed away November 29, 2020 & Baby Lee, (deceased at birth), September 9, 1972. God’s Apostle Lee has six siblings, older brother, Elder Allen Lee, (Esther), Patsy McCallum (deceased), Angelia Jacobs (sister), John A. Jacobs (brother), James J. Jacobs (brother), and Eva M. Meekins (Julius). He has one grandchild Christal Terry, two great-grandchildren, Jeremy Morris Jr. & Noelle L. Morris, a host of family & friends. Apostle Lee had a calling on his life for God at the age of 4 years old. He would often climb up on top of a tree stump and “Preach” God’s Word to people from all around. As Apostle Lee aged, his other gifts and talents would emerge into something greater. In his early teens Apostle Lee would show a strong gift for “Arts & Drawings”. And by the time he was a senior in high school, he began sending his art drawings to Walt Disney Studios Art Contests. Amazingly, Walt Disney studios sent an art talent scout to recruit the young Harry Lee for employment. But of course, God in his divine Providence had other plans for him. After high school in 1969, he married Elder Virginia Ruth McNair and several years later both joined Smith Chapel Bible Church of God, Inc. It was there, that they both would be converted in 1974. Apostle Lee learned to drive tractor trailer trucks from the West to East Coasts to support his family. In 1977 he received the call from GOD to preach and that same year he was ordained as a licensed minister in the Bible Church of God, Inc. As he continued to serve God, he was elevated to higher ranks of ministry in the church organization resulting in the role of Chief Bishop for the Bible Church of God, Inc. Apostle Lee also began his prison & radio ministry “Faith for Living Ministries”. After 12 years as Chief Bishop he transitioned from that position in November 2021. Until going home to see Jesus, he remained the Pastor and founder of Faith Chapel Bible Church of God for 43 years. Apostle Lee believed in humility and allowed God to order his steps. Apostle Lee’s Vision was to “Build up God’s Kingdom” & “Spread God’s Word throughout the world”. He stood for “Divine Righteousness and Truth”. He envisioned evangelism for his ministry, fed the “Spirit Man”, & embraced the various platforms to disseminate God’s Word. Apostle Lee believed consecration and dedication were catalysts for spiritual growth. He exemplified dedication, commitment, & humility in all aspects of his life. He demonstrated true leadership without seeking titles, the famous life; yet empowered others to witness for the Lord. He was committed to always giving 200% to Jesus Christ, family, the Bible Church of God, church affiliates, and anyone who was seeking to do right.
