Ms. Barbara Sealey

The Beautiful Barbara Lynn Sealey 61, of Fairmont, North Carolina made a peaceful transition at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina on July 30, 2024. She was born on June 13, 1963. Barbara was the daughter of the late Mr. Lester Sealey Sr., and the late Mrs. Alberta McRae Sealey. Barbara followed the footsteps of her late mother, working as a CNA at multiple health care centers. She was very passionate about the job she did taking care of her residents. She loved and was loved by them as well, showing compassion when they were no longer of this world. She was a single mother doing the best she could to raise her four children into the adults that we see today. Barbara had a spirit that was filled with fire, could easily make you laugh especially with the way she danced, and the most beautiful smile. She was very generous and didn't mind giving out what she had. The most important thing about Barbara, is that she loved her family. Whether if it was through messages over the phone, through the little songs she made up for people, she was always showing her love for her family. We all knew the battle she was going through, and she fought long and hard. Through her struggle she kept a positive outlook and remained hopeful. In her final moments she was in the comfort of her two daughters, surrounded with words of love and cherished memories as she quietly drifted into her final rest. In our hearts we will hold the memory of Barbara Lynn Sealey, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend and to her beloved children, a mother. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Sealey and Alberta Sealey; two brothers, Donald Ray Sealey and Stevie Sealey; a sister, Diane Sealey Singh; a daughter, baby girl Sealey; and a grandson, Zyquan McKellar. She leaves to cherish found memories by her beloved children, Eric Sealey, Derick Sealey, Erica Nicole Sealey, and Felicia Anne Sealey Kenan (husband) Terrance Kenan, Jr. Ten grandchildren, Harmony Suggs, Jahazel Suggs, Tynice Chatman, Bryant McLean, Malakye McKellar, Jaliyah McKellar, Jashaad McKellar, Jorian McKellar, Khalil Kenan and Zynique Kenan and a host of other relatives and friends.
