Ecclesiastes 3. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. There is a time to be born, Carolyn J Cook Winkfield born August 26, 1943. To the late James & Kathryn Cook in Valdosta Georgia. A time to be reborn. John 3:3, Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Carolyn attended Antioch Baptist Church where at an early age she accepted The Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. In her latter years she became a founding member of Christ Kingdom Builder Church. There is a time of living. Carolyn was blessed to live 80 years. Carolyn worked at Textile, Strickland Mills, Valdosta GA. Burlington Mills, Rohmandhaas, Fay NC, Texfi-blend. Carolyn enjoyed bowling & fishing & taking care of her grands & great grands. Carolyn married the love of her life Deacon Ralph Winkfield Sr. To their union was born Lisa Maynor (Cletious). Ralph Winkfield Jr (decease) & Brandi Winkfield. Carolyn was greatly loved by her sister & friend Kathryn Harris. Those who proceed her in death: parents: James & Kathryn Cook, Son Ralph Jr lovingly known as Ralphie, Sister Juanita Abramson (Iva), Niece Kathryn Epps. A host of In-laws including, Sister In-law Agnes Richardson , brother In-law Otis Winkfield. There is a time to plant: Carolyn was educated in Valdosta School system, she further her education at Miami Day Junior College & FTCC. There is a time to die: Carolyn went home to be with The Lord on September 13, 2023, There is a time to reap what was sown: Revelation 14:13, Then I heard a voice from heaven say, Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them. There is a time to mourn: Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 57 years Ralph Winkfield Sr, Her two daughters, Lisa Maynor (Cletious), Brandi Winkfield. Sister, Kathryn Harris. Grandchildren: Zarron Winkfield, Christina Bullock, Zaharia Cox, Cecilia Winkfield, Jamice Clifford, Nicholas Russell, “Lawrence Williams III” Alaysha Maynor, Iman Winkfield, Great Grandkids: Tirique Ross, Ty’Miere Bullock, Ty’Mareon Bullock-Vinston, Zavoris Denson, Zayvion Mixon, Zamaar Mixon, Cambria Robinson, Imonee Russell, Ilyena Russell, Jaycee Clifford, Joel McDaniel. Nephews Derrick Harris, Adrien Epps, Layman Walton, Mark Abramson. Niece, Bridgett Walton. Her god son Rev William Cousins (Clejetter). Grand nieces & nephews: Jamaal and Michael Harris, Akirfa, Malik, & Summer Epps. Her long time friend & prayer partner Ophelia Felton, her friend who lead her back to church, Betty Smith, friend & Pastor, Angela Walker (Deacon James Walker). Jesus Peace Ministries family, Wood Memorial Church family, Christ Kingdom Builder Church family. Carson Court family & a host of family & friends. There is a time to love & a time to embrace. May we draw close to embrace and to console one another. There is a time to remember, let us remember the love Carolyn deposited in each of our lives and follow her walk with Jesus and make Him our Lord and Savior. There is a Time to rejoice: Because Carolyn is a Christian, we rejoice that she is now with the Jesus her Lord & Savior.
