Ms. Christine Lockhart

Christine Greer Lockhart, better known by those who loved her as “Fuzzy”,was born on July 2, 1957, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was the third of seven children born to Wiley Lee, Sr. and Magnolia Greer. At the age of 6, her family relocated to Houston, Texas where she lived the early years of her life and received her education in the Houston Independent School District. Although she did not complete her studies at Jefferson Davis High School, she obtained her GED and attended both Texas Southern University and Houston Community College. In 1979, she welcomed her first child, daughter, Katrina LaShaune and then her son, Jeremy JarMaine in 1982. Two of her greatest blessings that were created during a previous relationship. Christine later met the love of her life, Terence Lockhart and exchanged vows at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1984. During their union, they relocated to Detroit, Michigan until her husband transitioned from his earthly body on February 8, 2015. After the loss of her husband, she decided to relocate to Fayetteville, North Carolina and make the town her forever home. While residing here, she began attending Blessed Family of God Church. After embracing the Blessed Family of God Church, it was through uplifting worship there that she embarked on her walk with Christ in an atmosphere that filled her with peace and made her feel at home. If you attended on the day that she was there, rest assured she would have loved and embraced you as you walked into the sanctuary. If you ever went anywhere with her, you already know it wasn't going to be a quick trip. Whether it was the grocery store, the pharmacy, or a gas station, she was going to strike up a conversation with someone and by the time she left, she had made a new friend. She had a way of making you feel like family and treated you as if you mattered. She made her mark in Houston, Detroit, and Fayetteville FOR SURE!! She called everyone “Toot” (or any other random name because she couldn’t remember names LOL), but if she really loved you, she would let you know that you were her world. She poured her heart into each of her grandchildren. She had a profoundly, impactful bond with each of them and empowered them to feel uniquely loved, special, and always aware of her unwavering pride for them. In her later years, she devotedly became her mother’s caregiver and made her well-being a top priority. Christine's life took on a new dimension on February 6, 2025 as she transitioned to eternal life, surrounded by her loved ones at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terence Lockhart (2015); her father, Wiley Lee Greer, Sr.; her siblings, Pamela Renay Greer (1991), Barbara Ann Thomas (2003), Valerie Diane Pinkston (2005), and Wiley Lee Greer, Jr. (2008); three grandchildren, Brianna (2004), Brandon (2004), and Justin (2010); niece, Trameda Pinkston (2014), and daughter-in-law, Shaunte Hall-Greer (2019). She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Magnolia Greer of Houston,Tx. Her daughter, Katrina Greer-Davis (Sashah) of Sumter, SC., her son, Jeremy Greer, Sr. (Naomi) of Fayetteville, NC. Her siblings, Sandra Greer (Eddie) of Katy, Tx. and Steven Greer of San Diego, CA. Nine grandchildren, Jalayah Greer, Brian Brown, Jeremy Greer, Jr., Ivy Mills, Jenesis Greer, Jae’Lleion Greer, Zoe Gordon, Kamryn Davis, and Journey Greer. Two special nieces, Shaune Sanders (Charlie) and Monique Moody (Melvin) both of Humble, Tx. and a host of nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins, and friends that were like family.
