Mr. Eddie Larell Wilkerson

On April 14th, 2025, God called to eternal rest our beloved Eddie Larell Wilkerson. Eddie was born on May 27th, 1961 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and is the son of the late Eddie Nelson Wilkerson and Pauline Bethune Wilkerson. His years of education were attained in the Cumberland County School System of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Eddie will be remembered for his loving personality, his empathy toward others and his dynamic spirit. He got along with everybody and truly had a sense of humor. Eddie could communicate with people on all levels. Growing up he knew where to go and where not to go. His love for peace, love and joy will forever resonate in the hearts of family and friends. His friends and neighbor Corrine Ora Bell Warren described him as being one of the coolest and kindness men in the neighborhood. He was always looking out for others with a quiet strength and a good heart. Eddie life exemplifies the words in Matthew 22 verse 29 which says "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Yes love is an action word and you did it well. One of his greatest joys was being a member of Cool Phi Sweet (CPS). The brotherhood that they shared held a special place in his heart. Eddie also loved to dance in his early years. He often reflected on how he and his cousin Sonja were dancing partners. These are just a few of the joys of his life. His years on earth were joyful and fruitful. Today we celebrate his life and the love he freely shared. Take your rest. There is peace in the valley. Preceding him in death are his parents Eddie and Pauline Wilkerson, sister Debra La'Tonya Wilkerson, Brother Cordeluius (Dontez) Wilkerson and paternal and maternal grandparents. Surviving to forever cherish his legacy are brothers Reginald Wilkerson of Fay.,N.C. and Victor (Chareeya) Wilkerson of Portland, Oregon, nieces Cordeja Wilkerson and Kahnita Wilkerson; nephews Pauleo Wilkerson, Reginald Wilkerson Jr., Mackaveli Wilkerson, Charlieray Perkins and Caden Wilkerson, loving cousins, aunts Carrie (Judy) Craig and Betty Davis; Uncle George Craig and a host of other relatives and many, many friends. Today we celebrate his life and legacy. Take your rest. The storm of life are over. Goodnight.............UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.
