Ms. Glindia McNair Harper

Elder Mother Glindia Farrell-McNair Harper was born in a little house on Greenville Rd to the Late John (Singing Sam) and Viola McNair on October 2, 1948. She took her rest on August 27, 2021 after receiving excellent care at Woodhaven Nursing Facility in Lumberton, NC. UNC Southeastern Hospice lovingly assisted with her care. She was the youngest graduate of J.H. Hayswood High School Class of 1965 at the age of 16 years old. She received Certification from Robeson Technical College and attended Cathedral Bible College. She worked many years for Scotland Enterprise. She retired from Monarch where she facilitated the care of those with developmental disorders. Elder Glindia Farrell McNair-Harper’s life was marked by faithful Christian service. She served with faith and dedication at First Baptist Fairmont, Greenville Baptist Church, and True Believer’s Church of the Almighty God and sung on the Sandy Grove Gospel Choir. Transforming Life Christian Church was her final Church home. She has the honor of becoming the first member of Transforming Life Christian Church on April 30, 2010. She was Ordained as the First Elder of Transforming Life Christian Church on December 5, 2012. She proudly became a Mother of the Church January 18, 2015. She was affectionately called “Maglinda” and “Grandma” by the members and children of Transforming Life Christian Church. In addition to her deceased parents, Elder Glindia Farrell McNair-Harper was preceded in death by one sister Linda McNair Nesbitt, one brother Sterling McNair and her grandson Brandon Jenkins. She leaves her most cherished memories to her beloved sons: Patrick (Erickia) McNair of the Home and Derek (Aleasia) McNair of Hope Mills, NC. She leaves three brothers: John A. (Grace) McNair Jr. of Washington D.C., Mark (Sophie) McNair and Calvin (Terrie) McNair of Fairmont NC. Two sisters: Sherry Richardson of Raleigh NC and Veronica (Alvin) Thompson of Fairmont. One Aunt Ilar Bell McDonald. Grandchildren: Patrick McMurray, Tianna McNair, Nailah McNair, Solomon McNair, Adrian (Janay) Jenkins, Dereka McNair, Destini Brown, Khadija (Rashard) Brandon, Ameerah McNair. She cherished 10 great grandchildren. She adored and cherished a troop of supportive nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, lifelong acquaintances, and friends.
