Mr. Julius Lee Brounson

Celebrating the Life and Love of Julius Lee Brounson Julius Lee Brounson was born February 13, 1951 to Jesse Mae Brounson in Queens, New York. Lee or Levy as he was affectionately known was the light and very well loved by his friends and family. Lee was a two-time war hero veteran in the United States Army. Lee served in the Vietnam war on two missions from January 1970 until July 1971 and then again from July 1971 until July 1975. When he returned to the United States. He made Baltimore, Maryland his place of residence. There, he began his career in long haul trucking. Lee was passionate about long haul trucking, because he saw, “God’s Beauty.” He served as a long haul trucker for 40 years. Lee moved back to Queens, New York and married his wife, Dorothy on November 15, 1997. Lee enjoyed serving his community in Queens’s, New York. He became a Mason joining the Lily of the Valley #29 in Queen’s, New York. Lee also returned to school receiving his high school diploma from August Martin High School and his Associate’s Degree in Business Administrative. In 2013, Lee moved to Lumberton, North Carolina when his eldest daughter became sick. He made Lumberton his retirement home. Lee was also helpful in the community of Lumberton as an anonymous donor during the flood of 2016. Lee enjoyed spending time with his families both in Queen’s, New York and Lumberton, North Carolina. Lee’s favorite past time was playing cards, playing chess and spending time watching sports. He also enjoyed being the life of the party, at family events. Lee loved his life and felt he completed his dreams. He often stated, “The best thing he ever did was becoming a girl Dad to Yvette and Kylesha. Lee loved his family and in return received so much love and admiration through his stories and lectures. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother by birth and mason Lee was preceded in death by his grandson, Odysseus Raman Jordan, a sister, Candy Adams-Ferguson and nephews, Tony and Jesus’ Brounson Eaglehead and the Black Butterfly has gone home to be with the Lord. Lee leaves to cherish his life, his wife of 26 years, Dorothy (Dot), daughter Kylesha, a son Reginald of Queen’s, New York and a daughter, Yvette and Euylee Jordan of Lumberton, NC. One brother; Mercer Adams and one sister, Carolyn Brounson of Queen’s, New York. Three grandchildren; Marcus, Kyakamecia, and Khadijah of Lumberton, NC . Daughter mother, Carol Johnson of Lumberton, NC. Five great grandchildren; Jeremiah, Kha’leah, Kaimyah, Jaceyon, and Jamaree of Lumberton, NC. Six nieces and nephews; Brenda of Queen’s , NY, Renee of Philadelphia, Isadore of Hawaii, Eurika , Princess and James of Queen’s, NY and a great nephew, John Beaty of Texas.
