Mr. Marshall Glenn Hollingsworth Sr.

Marshall Glenn Hollingsworth, Sr., born July 12, 1957, to the late Neal Archie Hollingsworth, Sr. and Gladys Treadwell Hollingsworth in Fayetteville, North Carolina, was called to eternal rest on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his home in High Point, North Carolina. He matriculated from E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina in June of 1975 with academic honors as well as scholarship accommodations for the United States Military Academy at West Point in New York. Glenn continued to pursue his educational goals by receiving a Baccalaureate Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in August 1980. He dedicated over fifteen years to DAKS, Incorporated in Fayetteville, North Carolina, before relocating his family to High Point, North Carolina where her retired from KAO Specialties Americas in January 2024. Glenn confessed Christ and was baptized at St. Luke AME Zion Church. He had a passion for Corvettes and Harley Davidson motorcycles, eagerly attending the Harley Davidson Bike Rally in Daytona Beach, Florida and Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina each year. In the fall of the year 1988 Glenn met and fell in love with Tammy Theodosia Rich. They were united in Holy Matrimony on September 6, 1995. They were blessed with two beautiful children, and they were the apple of his eye. The family would often enjoy a special bond through travel, motorcycle rides, and fishing. Glenn could often be found enjoying his music collection or watching his beloved Las Vegas Raiders, and his favorite college basketball team, the UNC Tar Heels, in his "mancave". Glenn's memories will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Tammy Rich Hollingsworth: his sons, Marshall Glenn Hollingsworth, Jr.: his daughter, Jacquelyn Brianna Hollingsworth (James Harris Jr.) both of High Point, North Carolina; sister, Jacquelyn Davis, Lewisville, Texas; brother, Neal A. Hollingsworth, Jr., Fayetteville, North Carolina; six grandchildren: Paris, Jaiceon, London, Zyan, Aaliyah, and Reign; additionally, Glenn leaves to cherish his memories Bobby and Betty L. Rich his mother in law and father in law of Fayetteville, North Carolina; brothers-in-law Bobby Rich, Jr. (Deborah) Memphis, Tennessee, Genesis Whitted, and Terry Walker of Fayetteville North Carolina; sisters-in-law Barbara Ray, Baltimore, Maryland and Sona Harrington, Fayetteville North Carolina; his aunt, Alyce Martin, Miami, Florida; niece Taryn Lee (Spencer), Lewisville, Texas; and numerous relatives and friends. Glenn's warm spirit, adventurous heart, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.
