Mr. Maurice White

Maurice "Reece" White was born on June 10, 1972, In Fayetteville, North Carolina to Lester Thomas White and the late Bertha Lee Johnson, who preceded him in death on September 16, 2024. Maurice's life was a reflection of strength, deep love, and unwavering dedication to his family and close friends. At an early age, Maurice journeyed with his parents to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he spent his formative childhood years. He later returned to his roots in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he graduated from Terry Sanford High School in 1990. As he embarked into adulthood, Reece lived in Jersey City, New Jersey before eventually settling in Charlotte, North Carolina, embraced by the love and support of his family. Endearingly known as "Reece", "Pearly", and "Pearly Mack", to those closest to him, Maurice possessed a remarkable calm and gentle spirit that effortlessly put everyone around him at ease. He was deeply devoted to his loved ones, playing a pivotal role in caring for his mother during her final years and later extended that same unwavering support to his father before his own health began to decline. His loyalty and selflessness were truly unmatched. Above all else, Maurice was an incredible father and grandfather. He poured his heart into raising his children and cherishing his grandchildren. He leaves behind his beloved children: Daughters; Miranda Mainor (Fayetteville, NC) Myesha White, (Chester, PA) Zjane' Johnson (Charlotte, NC), Cyerra White (Fayetteville, NC), Makayla Williams, & Mariah Williams (Charlotte, NC). One Son; Azoriah Alexander (New Jersey). His pride in them was immeasurable, a constant sourced of joy in his life. Maurice, known for his signature style, was rarely seen without his favorite piece of jewelry, a reflection of his unique personality. His warm smile and sense of humor could light up any room, and he treasured the time spent with his family. His supportive nature and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Maurice leaves to cherish his memories: his father Lester White, six daughters, one son, one sister: Angeline Marie Holland of Charlotte, NC, one brother: Thomas Lee White of Charlotte, NC. 10 grandchildren, two nieces, two nephews, and a host of cousins, and friends.
