Mr. Michael Andrew Rose

Michael Rose was born in Philadelphia, PA to parents Sylvester Rose Jr. and Jeannette Reinhardt-Rose on March 29, 1966. He grew up in the tight knit community neighborhood of Foxfire, where he attended Westover schools and played both football and basketball. Michael accepted Christ at an early age in his youth, at New Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. It was at Westover Senior School that Michael attended an automotive class where he discovered his love for cars, and fixing things. Upon graduating high school, Michael attended WSSU. While in college, Michael made the decision to enter the United States Army, where he served honorably for 5 years. When Michael exited the military, he returned to Fayetteville NC, where he gained employment at Cross Creek Lincoln Mercury. It was at this job that he furthered his skillset, love and knowledge for automotive repair. Michael completed his mission at Cross Creek Lincoln Mercury, then followed in his father’s footsteps as a tire builder at Kelly Springfield Tire Company, in both Fayetteville NC, and Danville, VA. He excelled at his work as a tire builder, he consistently exceeded the expectations and quotas that were set for him. Outside of the hardworking environment that he created for himself and his family, he was a dedicated father of 8 children, a loving husband, son and brother. In his journey through life, Michael became a Freemason which he took very seriously. The band of brotherhood that he developed, would only enhance his will to create closeness in the family unit. He was always there for family and friends when needed. He was family man, and FAMILY ALWAYS came first. He was an avid NHRA racing fan, and he watched races every Sunday. At times, you would even find him at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway or the racetrack in Rockingham, NC. He loved all sports, especially football, however his blood ran deep, as a tried and true, Miami Dolphins fan. On Sundays during football season, he was always on the grill, ensuring that everyone had enough to eat while watching the game. He is survived by his beloved wife Lillian Rose, his parents Sylvester Rose Jr, Jeanette Rose. His siblings Antoinette Jackson (Ronald), Sean Rose (Monique), and his children, Chevonna Rose, Chenell Rose, Jeremiah Williams, Michael Rose Jr., Jayla Rose, Jaynia Lugo, Jaedyn Rose and Sean Rose, Jonathan Lee (Nikole), James Lee (Frances), and Terrence Lennon. His grandchildren, Jamari Ballard-Thomas, Azariah Rose, Malachi Rose, Sarai Williams, Jeremiah Williams Jr., Dayvion Lennon, Zyneil Lennon, Olivia Lennon, Yahachonon Lennon, and Kingston Lennon, as well as his pet Yorkie JR. Michael was loved and cherished by so many and will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on.
