Mr. Ronnie Junior Whitted

Ronnie Junior Whitted, son of the late Robert Whitted Jr. and Elder Annie Marie Whitted, was born on May 25, 1970, at Southeastern Regional Hospital in Lumberton, NC. He departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Lumberton, after fighting the good fight with the support of his family and close friends. Ronnie graduated from Littlefield Jr-Sr High School in 1988, where he played football and basketball and drove a school bus. Ronnie loved the Lord and believed in the power of prayer. He attended Floyd’s Temple Holiness Church #1 at an early age, singing in the Sunshine Band and Sunday School. He would later join and play a part in the naming of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church, founded by the late Bishop Evalina Lorick. Over the last fourteen years, God blessed him to drive and serve his mother, Elder Whitted, to Floyd’s Temple Holiness Church#2 in Bladenboro NC on the second and fourth Sunday of each month. He rejuvenated his faith and fulfilled his Godly promise to share the salvation and goodness of God even as his health declined. He was a hard-working man who loved to laugh, have fun, ride his horses, and tend to his chickens and goats. Ronnie loved his family and spent his time making people laugh and feel good. When in good health, he was an avid trail rider, traveling across North Carolina and up and down the East Coast with his wife, Debra and cousin, Sonya DeBerry. Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories his wife of almost 27 years, Debra, of the home; his mother, Elder Ann Whitted of Lumberton, NC; one son, Dominique Whitted of Greensboro, NC; one grandson, Zaiyre; three granddaughters, Aubree , Zoey , and Nova; one sister, Barbara (Harry) of Greensboro, NC; one nephew and niece Vance McRae and Victoria McRae of Greensboro, NC; three uncles, Bill Foster Whitted (Willodean), Harold Whitted (Cindi), and James Whitted (Lois); and eight aunts, Maggie Bell Smith, Mattie Whitted, Rev. Helen Thompson (Lacy), Patricia McIver, Susan McNeill (Randy), Julia Faye Stocks, Louise Stocks, and Jeanette Stocks, all of Lumberton, NC. He will be missed dearly by his cousins, dear friends, former co-workers, and others.
