Mrs. Sandra Lee Morman

On July 6, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois Barbara Dee Osborne and Robert Lee Osborne welcomed to the world their first born. They named her Sandra Lee Osborne . From the start she was full of personality and loved to talk. Growing up in a military family, Sandra lived in many places and developed a love for many things. As a student in Wurzburg, Germany she was a cheerleader and known for her big, beautiful, dirty blonde hair. She was given the nickname “Boots” for her favorite choice of shoe. In 1989, Sandra’s dreams came true when her daughter Carina was born. Her daughter was her whole world, and they were best friends. In later years, they would lovingly call each other “Bestie” and talk daily. In 1993, Sandra met the love of her life, Calvin Morman, and for 31 years their love grew. The two shared an irreplaceable bond and cared for one another in an exceptionally special way. Sandra loved spending quality time with family and entertaining. There was never a dull moment when she was in the room. (This is the edited version) She was a strong, straight forward woman who didn’t sugar coat things; but to know her was to love her. The soft spot in Sandra’s heart was for animals, and she loved her yorkie Bella Boo like a child. Sandra dedicated 25 years to working at the Cumberland County Dispute Resolution Center, where she was able to help people through mediation and provide second chances to youth in the community by way of the Teen Court program. Sandra was passionate about seeing the underdog win. On July 21, 2024, God tapped Sandra on the shoulder, whispered in her ear “job well done” and called her home. On that day a piece of us all, went with her. She was preceded in death by her close and special sister Linda Kay Osborne Durden and her father Robert Lee Osborne. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy: her devoted husband, Calvin Morman; daughter and bestie, Carina Walker; stepson, Calvin Morman, Jr.; her beloved yorkie, Bella Boo; mother, Barbara Osborne; brother, Jerry Osborne; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Bennett and Kathy Bennett; brother-in-law, Randy Bennett; uncle-in-law, William Mack (Connie); nephews, Eric Osborne and Jared Osborne; grandchildren, Cameron and Shane; and a host of other relatives and friends, including a special acknowledgment to Aunt Frances and Vickie.
