Ms. Venus Leona Newell

Venus Leona Newell was born July 7, 1983, in Syracuse, New York to Ann and Albert Newell. She was her parent’s baby girl. Venus received her early education in the Watertown and Alexandria Bay School Districts. In 1998, the family moved to Fayetteville, North Carolina, where Venus continued her education at E. E. Smith High School. While living in Watertown, New York, Venus’ family taught her and her siblings the Word of God. This is where she received understanding and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Her parents were pillars in the churches they attended, which included The Rose of Sharon, United Pentecostal Church, and The City of Refuge Christian Church. She was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at an early age. After moving to Fayetteville, the family fellowshipped with Pastor John Quick and New Redeem Church. In 1999, her mother, then Pastor Ann T. Newell, established The Soul Harvest Apostolic Church in their home. The church later moved to Spring Lake, where it currently resides. In the early years, Venus participated in church activities, and helped with the youth. She traveled to local and national youth conferences. She loved children and the elderly and had a sweet way of interacting with them. She had a beautiful voice, and a great sense of humor which entertained those around her. In 2004, she gave birth to Isaiah Daniel, in 2007, Antresse Danielle was born, and in 2008, Elijah was birthed. On October 8, 2023, Venus passed away. She left this world too soon, and we will always miss and remember her. Her father, Albert Daniel Newell and grandfather, Kenneth B. Stewart preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Isaiah Daniel Newell and Antresse Danielle Newell, both of Fayetteville, NC; her mother, Ann T. Newell Dockery (William) of Fayetteville, NC; her siblings, Rome Johnson of Watertown, NY; Douglas Newell, and Ebony Newell, both of Fayetteville, NC; and James Newell of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandmother, Joan Ann Stewart of Baltimore, MD; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
