Mr. Anthony Tyrone Felder Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anthony Tyrone “Tidy” Felder was born April 8, 1972, in Dillon, SC to Annie Baker and the late Albert “Buddy” Whittington. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at UNC Health-Southeastern, Lumberton, NC. He attended the public schools of Dillon, SC. After graduating in 1990 Tidy went on to become a truck driver. For many years he drove trucks for Builders Transportation, Southeastern Concrete, Corney Transportation, and later started driving for L&R Carriers, were he retired in 2018. Tidy was a gentle giant. He never met a stranger. If there was anything he could do to make your life better, he would. He was one of the most gentle and humblest people you could ever meet. He was a great husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. At an early age he became a member of Hazy Grove Missionary Baptist Church then dedicated his life to the Lord and joined Heaven Bound New Vision Church where he served as a trustee indeed. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosa Felder, his father Albert “Buddy” Whittington, father-in-law Jesse Thomas Sr, and two daughters Shanta and Mystery Felder. Tidy leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife, Sarah Felder, four sons: Shane Purdie of Hope Mills, NC, Shabaz Felder, Anthony Felder Jr., and Isaiah Felder of the home; parents: Annie (Levorn) Baker of Hamer, SC, mother-in-law, Bonnie Thomas of Lumberton, NC, four sisters: Stephanie (Kevin) Jenkins, Brianne Baker, both of Hamer, SC, Lakeesha Thompson of Greenville, SC, and Kamescha Monroe of Benson, NC, one brother, Justin McLellan of Florence, SC, two sisters-in-law: Marsha Thomas of Greenville, NC, and Valerie Thomas of Lumberton, NC, three brothers-in-law: Jessie (Regina) Thomas Jr of Tar Heel, NC, Jeffery Thomas of Hallsboro, NC and Gordon Thomas of Durham, NC. Three special cousins he grew up with: Amanda Felder of Rowland, NC, Velvee Felder of Lumberton, NC and Gregory Felder of Hamer, SC;, one god-daughter Amahile Nealy of Fairmont, NC, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends.
