    Ms. Carol Ann Cromartie

    July 16, 1955 - April 22, 2021

    Co-Pastor Carol Ann Melvin Cromartie, born on November 16, 1955 to the late Pastor Elizabeth Melvin and the late Benton Melvin Jr. Mrs. Cromartie was raised in the Cumberland Co. in the Fayetteville Community. Mrs. Cromartie attended and graduated high school with honors from Seventy-First High School in Fayetteville, NC. She also attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and began her studies in Funeral Services. Mrs. Cromartie grew up in church and was very active as a child coming up into her adult hood. While working in church as a young lady, she had a very strong love for singing and attending Sunday School. Mrs. Cromartie and her family attended Burning Bush Holiness church for many years. Later in life, Mrs. Cromartie was named Co-Pastor of New Generation Outreach Church, where she served faithfully, until her health began to decline. Mrs. Cromartie was very passionate concerning people and things that she held dear to her heart… She had several hobbies and talents…She had a strong love for teaching, reading, sewing, skating, and yes let’s not forget her awesome cooking skills and her love for clothes and fashion. Lastly, Mrs. Cromartie, was super passionate and had an overwhelming love for her grandchildren and kids all around … In the words of Aunt Carol Ann… “Bring All The Kids”. Mrs. Cromartie was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Steven Cromartie, her beloved and only son Mr. William (Rell) Cromartie, her brother Mr. Bennon Melvin; and her best friend, Mrs. Bertha Cordoza, She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her daughter; Christina (Tutt) Cromartie; Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren; Ja’leel (Peanut) Stephens, Jahnice (Tweetie bird) Cromartie, KayLee (Lady Bug) Lewis, Sariya (Sweet Pea) Cromartie, Krystal (Pumpkin) Lewis, Deonee (Biggie) Ray; three sisters, Shirley Norman (Roy) Fayetteville, NC; Joann Armwood (Davie) Fayetteville, NC; Mary McMillan (Daniel) Fayetteville, NC; one sister in law; Sharon Melvin Fayetteville, NC; one brother in law; Arthur Lee Cromartie Fayetteville, NC ; Mrs. Cromartie also had a very special nephew; Elijah Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
