Mrs. Lisa Ann Mix

March 15, 1967 - March 17, 2022

Lisa A. Mix was born in Paterson, NJ to the late Amy Arlene Smith (Robinson) Mix of St Pauls, NC, and the late William Francis Mix of Detroit, MI. Lisa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lisa was a member of Northside Chapel church in Paterson, NJ from the age of four until she moved to NC. She attended Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in St Pauls, NC. She also attended the New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Paterson, NJ. She was a member of the Creed social club in Atlanta, GA., and affiliated with the Queen and King social club. Lisa helped many people in her neighborhood and from other areas. She would give people in her neighborhood a place to sleep when they were homeless, she also worked as a school bus driver, and as a Gray Hound Driver, she upgraded her license to CDL to work as a truck driver. She was also known for feeding the neighborhood children and adults. Lisa moved to Atlanta, GA with her sisters where she worked at the Westin Hotel, Lisa traveled extensively with family and friends. Lisa returned to NC to be with her children and grandchildren after a short while. She was preceded in death by her son, James Belfield of Lumberton, NC, paternal grandparents Louise Smith Bailey, St. Paul NC and John Louis Smith, Paterson, NJ., step grandfather, Andrew Bailey, Paterson, NJ, & St. Pauls, fraternal grandparents Katherine Mix, Detroit MI and William Francis Mi, Paterson NJ, her uncle, Edward Smith, Paterson, NJ, brother Justin Loyd Mix, Raeford, NC. A host of aunts and uncles and family members have gained their wings. Surviving family members, her oldest son, Gary Mix, and partner Brittany Grissett of Fairmont, NC, daughters: Krystal A. Gadson Mix, Lumberton NC and Kewannie Primer Sr., Lumberton, NC, Jalisa A.T. Belfield and Brad Tomoney of Fairmont, NC, Jiovana A. Belfield and William Rogers of Fayetteville, NC, a special son Isaiah Ford of Fayetteville, NC. Two sisters: Pamela Frances Mix-Allen of Riverdale, GA. Karen Marie Mix-Beckett of Atlanta, GA, one brother John Louis Mix of Patterson, NJ, sister, Shonda and husband Ed Nell of Logan, GA. Sixteen grandchildren, Tamya Banks, Kewannie Primer Jr., Keondria Primer, Alexiza Stephens, Kamonni Primer, Sarion Stephens, Zaquan Stephens, Matthew Elmore, Zafirah Rogers, Nakia Belfield, Aaliyah Grissett, Thalia Belfield, Gabriella Mix, Sadirah Belfield, Charity McKenzie, Zynasia Rogers, A God Sister Shaniqua Robinson of Patterson, NJ, goddaughter Deadria Leach, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin, family, and many friends.
