Mrs. Mary E. Green

October 25, 1937 - November 24, 2021

Mary was born to Hazel Davis Bowden and Leroy Bowden on October 25, 1937, in St Pauls, North Carolina. She entered God’s Kingdom November 24,2021 at Southeastern Hospice House. She completed her secondary education in Harlem, New York. Mary was employed by Macy’s Department Store as a Sales Associate in New York City, New York, and Best Buy in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Richmond, Virginia. On August 30, 1992, Mary married Edward (Eddie) Lee Dupreta Green in Dillon, South Carolina. Mary was a loyal servant of God, first and foremost. She united with Trinity Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia. Mary loved the Church and shared the love, and warmth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mary served on the Senior Usher Board, Ladies Auxiliary Board, United Voices choir, and the 8:00 A.M. Hour of Power Choir. Mary was also a member of Rose of Sharon Grand Lodge, Mary Magdalene Grand Chapter #25 Order of the Eastern Star New York City, New York. Mary relocated to Lumberton, North Carolina, and united with Pleasant Meadow Missionary Baptist Church December 13, 2015. Mary joins her husband Eddie, and parents Hazel, and Leroy in Heaven. She is survived by her brother Ronald Bowden (Karen, Lumberton, North Carolina, sister, Doris Renae Davis Taylor-Strait (Willie), Abingdon, Maryland, nieces; Tammy Bowden, Shannon Bowden, Eugenia S. Johnson (Michael), Nephews; Anthony Bowden, William H. (Tank) Davis, and Damon T. Massey, many loving family members, best friend Eartha Macklin, Richmond, Virginia, Caregiver, Barbara Serrano, Lumberton, North Carolina, and Shorty (her four-legged companion).
