Mrs Brenda Joyce Wilson

Brenda Joyce Wilson was born July 23, 1957 to the late Floyd Ray and Mattie Lois Wilson, Sr. In Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was educated in the public-school system of Cumberland County and graduated from E. E. Smith Senior High School in 1976. She attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and later became a Quality Control Inspector for Gold Kist, Inc. She accepted Christ at a young age. She was a life-long member of Parks Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where she served on the choir and the usher board. She then became a member of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and later transitioned her membership to Bethel A.M.E. Zion Church where she served diligently as a member of the E J Alston Gospel Choir and the Bethel Mass Choir. She was affectionately known as “Bee Bee” and “Sweet Honey Bee” and was extremely loved and adored for her cooking, especially her cheesecakes. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother-in-love, Helen Henson of Spring Lake, NC; her husband, Timothy W. Henson of Spring Lake, NC; one daughter, Erika L. Burns (Tremell) of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Floyd R. Wilson, Jr., Kenneth E. Wilson, “Kent” (Michelle) of Fayetteville, NC and Sundiata Obasi “Dexter” (Tammy) of Richmond, VA; two brothers-in-love, Ronnie Henson (Sonya) of Far Rockaway Queens, NY and Eddie Henson (Valerie) of Corona Queens, NY; one sister, Mary Wilson of Birmingham, AL; two sisters-in-love, Pamela Simmons (Michael) of Fayetteville, NC and Teresa Henson of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, P. William White, III and Akire’ M. L. White of Fayetteville, NC; four bonus grandchildren, Tre’vion Burns, Tremell B. Burns, Jr., Zi’tianna Burns, Karmella Burns; three honorary grandchildren, Je’den Clark, Alaya Bullard and Ka’lub Chance-McLean of Fayetteville, NC; three aunts, Hildra Pippen of Chicago, IL, Olivia Standifer and Bertha Brown of Tuscaloosa, AL; eleven nieces, Nyell Brooks (Scott) of Wake Forest, NC, Arielle Wilson, Shannon Clark, Danielle Henson, Renae Henson all of Fayetteville, NC, Nicole Henson (Cecil) of St. Louis, MO, Elizabeth Gray (Joseph), Patrice Henson, Stephanie Henson, Dawn Henson all of Atlanta, GA and Qadira Wilson of Selma, NC; five nephews, Toshi Wilson, Qurdelle Wilson and Matthew Henson (Daisy) of Fayetteville, NC, Robert Copeland and Dwayne Henson of Atlanta, GA; four great-nieces, seven greatnephews; goddaughter, Latonya Boyd; special friends Shonda Tysor and Lemuel Scott; honorary brothers, Byron Dennis and Alonzo Martin and a host of cousins and friends.
