Ms. Briana Nicole Mitchell

Briana Nicole Mitchell entered this world the morning of October 30th, 1995 at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Raised in Fayetteville, she attended Lucile Souder and Brentwood Elementary Schools, Douglas Byrd Middle School, and graduated from Douglas Byrd High School as a member of the Class of 2011. Briana was a talented creative from an early age; her drawings and paintings, fashion designs, short stories, cosmetology and make-up art reflected her vibrant, original imagination and God-given gifts. Briana shared these gifts generously with countless friends, family, and clients across Fayetteville and beyond. Through her artistry, she took pride in making others feel seen, special, and beautiful in their own skin. Briana faced life with her signature free and lovable spirit. She was a self-proclaimed “goof” who could find levity and humor in any situation, always finding a way to laugh and make others laugh even in hardship. At 6’2, she was a gentle giant, and unapologetic girly-girl (the more pink and glitter, the better!), and the life of every party. One of Briana’s greatest joys was her family. She is survived by her two precious sons, Gabriel Levi Ramirez and Elijah Michael Ramirez,who were the center of her world; fiancé Quinton Gainey; her mother Audrey Suggs, father John E. Mitchell, bonus father Joe N. Pipkin and bonus mother Rosaline Nowell; her siblings, Kristeen A. Mitchell, Tangela S. Mitchell, Jonkevia Williams, Jasmin Mitchell, John Mitchell, Jr. (LJ), and Jaliyah Mitchell; her grandparents, Helenteen Miller, Natha Burrell, and Eva Burrell; aunts Angela T. Mitchell, Amina Mathis (spouse: Bobby Mathis), Naja Daniels; uncles William L. Suggs, Jr., Ricky R. Suggs (spouse: Katrina Suggs), Jamal Daniels, James Daniels; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts. On June 12th, 2025, Briana transitioned from this earthly plane. Her laughter, kindness, and creative spirit have left an indelible mark on the world and made every life she touched brighter. Through her family, loved ones and her large body of artwork, her memory is eternal. Even in our grief, we know her spirit is dancing free: rose-colored, shimmering with light, whimsical, and full of love
