Mr. Deshaun Markell Bandy

De’shaun Markel Bandy was born on July 12, 1994, to Henry D. Bandy and the late Valerie Allen. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. De’Shaun spent most of his early life in Cumberland County where he received his education from Warrenwood Elementary School, Luther Nick Jeralds Middle School, E. E. Smith Senior High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. Over the years he has been employed at McDonalds, Smithfield Packing Company, Swift Trucking Company, Campbell Soup, and ending his career at Ryder. De’Shaun was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, and nephew who was a strong hardworking man who will surely be missed, but we realize that “God’s Perfect Will” had been done. De’Shuan was preceded in death by his mother; Valerie Allen; paternal grandmother, Mary Helen Gathers and paternal grandfather, Henry L. Bandy Jr. His passing will be felt deeply by: his father, Henry (Tina) Bandy of Hope Mills, NC; brothers, Tre’von Bandy (twin), Tyreek Allen of Fayetteville, NC and Henry D. Bandy Jr. of Greenville, SC; godbrother, Terrence (Alana) Wright of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Timia Willis and Khiya Willis both of Fayetteville, NC and Madison Bandy of Hope Mills, NC; maternal grandfather, Lester Allen of Fayetteville, NC; maternal grandmother, Essie Bailey of Fayetteville, NC; paternal great-grandmother, Catharine M. Monroe of Hope Mills, NC; bonus grandmother, Betty Wright of Fayetteville, NC; uncles, Lester Allen, Antonio (Waqiah) Allen, Rodney Allen and Darrell Gathers III of Fayetteville, NC; aunts, Yolanda (Howard) Allen of Fayetteville, NC, Renee (Robert) Blue Fayetteville, NC, Precious Monroe of Columbia, Missouri and Sallie Wright of Fayetteville, NC; three nieces, Kahlani Willis, Kashmere Wright of Fayetteville, NC and Elliora Bandy of Greenville, SC; nephew, Tariq Allen of Fayetteville, NC; a host of cousins, uncles, aunts and other family members and friends. Gone from us is a tall soldier, humble servant, a big-hearted man with a community spirits and a love for all. We have stories to tell of how he touched each of our lives in so many special ways. De’Shaun fought a good fight, finished his course, kept the faith and ran a good race. His love, legacy and good will remain to comfort us in the days and years to ahead.
