Master Karter Christopher James Wimbush

Karter Christopher James Wimbush was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center to (Justice Mobley) and (Jaquan Wimbush). Karter was a special angel sent from heaven above. He loved to be cuddled by his mom and dad. He loved to be swaddled tight so he could fall asleep for hours to thunderstorm sounds. He loved to be rocked by anybody who would hold him, even the nurses. Karter shared a very special bond with his Grandmother, Leah who visited Karter often. Karter always recognized and responded to her voice and presence in person and video calls. Karter also had a strong bond with his Aunt Destiny, his other birthday twin. He loved to stare and fall asleep to his fish tank and green solar lights every night. Anyone in Karter's presence loved him. He was famous on the step-down unit and the pediatric ICU floors for his curly, beautiful soft hair. The nurses loved to wash his hair and apply Cantu hair lotion which became Karter's signature scent, Karter was handpicked from Heaven and had a sweet, subtle, and calming aura that let us know everything would be alright even in the midst of his own storms and health challenges. He was a strong, resilient soldier. He beat obstacles and challenges through-out his 4 month stay at Duke University Hospital. Karter is preceded in death by his maternal Great Grandfather Valium Mobley, paternal Great Grandparents Noreen Wimbush Balfour, Evan Balfour, First cousin Zay’vion, Uncle Melquan Moore, and Great Uncle Devon Wimbush. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: Parents Justice Mobley and Jaquan Wimbush; Grandparents: PaPa Larry Edwards (Lovernia), Leah Kirton(Jason), Joanne Wimbush, and Terrance Jordan; Great- Grandparents Octavio and Connie Mata, Robert Gilbert; Aunts :Destiny Johnson (Donneal),Dana Mobley-Smith(Martino) Crystal Mobley, Samya Jordan, Tenequa Jackson, Lavoughnia Jackson, Asia Jackson and Nastociah Sanders; Uncles:Joshua Bell, Donavyn Mobley(Tenika) Legend Kirton, Legacy Kirton, Malachi Jordan, Byron Mobley(Jasmine),Garen Mobley(Octavia), Marcus Edwards(Debra), Maurice Edwards,Reaquan Wimbush; Cousins: Royale, Zaylynn, Khamari, Nah’jae, Nevaeh, Ahava, Jaylyn, Mi’asia, Skylar, Neveah, Raequan J.R, Avion and Omari, and a host of relatives and friends.
