Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Patricia Ann Lewis Mrs. Patricia Ann Lewis, affectionately known as "Kricket Lew," was a beacon of love, wisdom, and grace. Born on February 6, 1947, in Fayetteville, NC, she was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence McKinnon Sr and Mary McCoy McKinnon. On January 25,2025 Patricia peacefully transitioned from this life, leaving behind a rich legacy of faith, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and 5 cherished brothers: Steven, Darryl, Jim, Ronald, and Clarence Jr. Though they are no longer with us, their memories remained vibrant as she shared countless childhood stories about her siblings. It was in Fayetteville that Patricia met the love of her life, Raymond Lewis Sr., a dedicated member of the military community who served through the 82nd Airborne Division. They married on February 14, 1967, and for 37 beautiful years their love weathered the storms of life and were marked by resilience, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Together they built a home filled with faith and love, raising three remarkable sons: Raymond Lewis Jr, Steve (Tamara) Lewis, and Joshua (Deidre) Lewis. Raymond Sr. departed this life on October 14, 2003, yet their love and bond remain eternal. Patricia was a devoted educator, touching countless lives during her 27 years in Fairfax County Schools. Her passion for learning, coupled with her nurturing spirit, made her a guiding light for students and colleagues alike. Upon returning to Fayetteville, in the early 2000s, Patricia continued to serve her community with the same dedication that defined her life. She worked as a Security Officer at Cape Fear Hospital and later as a substitute teacher for Hoke County Public Schools, always finding ways to give back. Patricia found joy in the simple things in life- shopping trips that turned into adventures, conversations that became lessons, and moments with family that felt like eternity wrapped in time. She was a woman of wisdom, a matriarch whose presence anchored and inspired those around her. Her love was a gift, and her legacy was a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and selfless devotion. Patricia leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory, three devoted sons: Raymond Jr., Steven (Tamara), and Joshua (Deidre); a host of beloved grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two loving sisters, and three brothers; a multitude of nieces, nephews and extended family members We honor her, we celebrate her, and we thank God for her life.
