Mr. Terrance Jai'Quahn Melvin

II Timothy 4:7-8 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Terrance Jai’ Quahn Melvin was born August 31, 1996 to his parents, father David Melvin Jr. and mother Pamela Melvin, and his homegoing was February 7, 2023. Succeeding him in death, his daughter Ny’Lynn Rose Marie Melvin. Terrance leaves to cherish his memories: his father, David Melvin, Jr.; mother, Pamela Melvin; stepfather, Charles Wright; Sencere Jai’Quahn Melvin his only son and his mother, Nae Nae Owens; sister, Zaybrienne S. Adamson; special friend, Little Bit; four aunts, Betty Melvin, Kaleena Middleton (Ishmai), Katrina McCall (Michael) and Courtley Brown; six uncles, Samuel Adamson, William Adamson, Kenneth Chapman (Susie), Keith Chapman (Andrea), Konrad Chapman and Kelley Chapman; niece, Ahmeel Quilloin; nephews, Dai’Qone Hoffman and Semaj Adamson; godfather, Maurice McRae. “Coach” his mentor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Terrance attended Seventy First Sr. High School, Fayetteville NC. Terrance loved playing basketball with his friends. He also loved bowling and thought he was the best at it. He was a very social and well-known person. Terrance was very family oriented and loved spending time with his son Sen'cere and daughter Ny’Lynn. He spoiled them and was not able to say no to them, and everywhere he went, Sen’cere went also. He was protective of his loved ones with extra special care. He was a great father and his family was everything to him. He couldn't go a day without being with his friends and showing special love to his Naenae. He worked for Hands Only Car Wash with his godfather and mentor Maurice McRae. Terrance overcame many obstacles and he was never willing to accept defeat. He had plans for a bright future for himself and his family. Rest on Brother Terrance. The Lord said, “Well done my good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matt. 25:21, NKJV). Finally, there is laid up for you the crown of righteousness. “
